Empathy
The White Coat Ceremony is a special occasion hosted by many medical schools around the country for first-year medical students. At this ceremony, medical school students receive their first white coat in front of faculty, family, and friends. Often, each graduate recites a version of the Hippocratic Oath, which states their commitment to the practice of medicine. All doctors are expected to honor this oath from the moment they make this pledge throughout their entire career. It is a very special day for the medical students and their families.
